About Travis Berry

I am a blatantly honest person who loves to think, read, discuss, and write about God and theology. I have a bachelor's degree in Youth Ministry from Crown College. I work at a church in Houston, TX as a Youth Director and love every minute of it! I am married to a wonderful woman named Becky and we have one amazing child! I have a love for God's Word, and a fervor to live it out in the fullest, and I pray this blog reflects that. Thanks for checking out AnotherChristianBlog!.

  1. I have had very harsh times in my life when I stood up to do what was right. I didn’t do it to bring attention to myself….I did it because it was what I felt was the right action to take.

We all must do “what is right” no matter what the personal cost is. Yes, there are times, I was, and you will be all alone; however, CHRIST IS THERE WITH US no matter what.

    • Often times standing for Christ means you will be standing alone. Thanks be to our God that we are never truly alone!

Thanks for checking out the blog,

      Travis

  2. Travis, I raised my daughter by myself. Her grandparents refused to help UNLESS I just handed her over. Her dad was a good man to teach her things, but terrible with child support. Therefore, Christ was all I had.
I remember one specific night. My daughter was extremely sick and I had to stay home with her and lost my job. I couldn’t blame them…they need people to work and I couldn’t leave her alone.
I was in such despair..I didn’t know what to do. I was talking to Christ and said…”Ya, know, I understand we need Spiritual Muscles, but if this keeps up, I’m gonna look like a “Spiritual Hulk!’ I need help!!! I went to bed crying because my daughter was sick and I was broke. We were about to be evicted.
The next day….a call came from a place I had interviewed with the month prior to that and I had a job. We did get evicted, but NOW, I had hope again.
    HE IS ALWAYS THERE.

    • That is a great story of God’s provision! Thanks for sharing. The Christian life isn’t easy but, it is amazing.

      • He IS our ONLY REAL friend no matter what we do in life..I have made some reallllly stupid mistakes; and, HE was there for me then too.
